After the immediate post-war period during the golden age in Italy, a noble French family moved to Lake Garda and decided to create an original residence inspired by the Scaliger Castle in Lazise. Count “Vidar de S. Claire,” with a rather unique flair, was so enchanted that he decided to permanently reside there for about 30 years.
In 1980, the Vanessi family (with “Grandfather” Arduino at the helm) successfully acquired the property, transforming it into a hospitality facility by carefully renovating both the interior and exterior spaces while preserving the existing architectural features, “The Castle.”
Towards the end of the 1980s, the Dependance was then built, a modern architectural building with a picturesque view of Lake Garda, located approximately 80 meters from the main structure.
The property also features a small pool with a glimpse of the lake, available for guests to cool off on warm summer days, typical of the lakeside climate.
